Functionality and Inventiveness in the Utility Room
Functionality and Inventiveness
This is the kind of room everyone wants! Here you can wash and dry laundry, store supplies, stow household appliances and kitchen utensils - all without hurting your back, due to great storage solutions created by ergonomic construction.
The utility room is where the "inner qualities" of furniture count more than anywhere else. You will find many useful details behind each of the fronts.
Not All Whites Are the Same
White furniture boards are the usual choice for building a carcass. However, not all whites are the same. In the range of white ABS edgings alone, narrowed down to only 23 mm wide edgings, almost 200 different items are displayed. In our picture you can see the 041.0040. ABS edging Premium white minipearl.
How does such diversity come about?
The RAL colour palette already contains 6 different shades of white. But if you place various shades next to each other, the differences quickly become clear. In addition, there are colour gradations due to different manufacturers or production methods of the boards and, as if that were not enough, due to different textures and surface finishes.
How do I find the right shade of white?
The easiest way to select a matching edging is to use the quick search on our starting page. Simply enter the board number in the quick search and the matching edgings to the board are displayed. Alternatively, you can use our faceted navigation: here you can filter by colour, surface finish, and desired dimensions.
Diverse Options for Furniture Making
With Opera, our furniture fronts based on surface-finished chipboard, we offer you even more diversity for furniture making. The melamine-resin coated boards are closed with colour-matching ABS edgings with a thickness of 1 mm.
- different plain colours or selected decors

- dirt and scratch resistant
In the utility room here we applied our Opera fronts in Storm Grey. To make sorting dirty laundry easier, one of the fronts was designed with holes for throwing in items of clothing. If you would like to apply a similar front, feel free to contact us. Here you can, for example, close the open cut edges with our "T-bar edging Ideal". In our case, we grooved in the black version to match the handles.
Permanent or Flexible: We Have Just What You Need
They are indispensable for kitchen building or, as here, for the carcass of the large cupboards in the utility room: classic fluted dowels. You will find in our range REDOCOL dowels in beech, padouk or acacia, and in numerous different container sizes, in other words: just what you need.
If you are working with an automatic dowelling machine, we recommend our pre-glued dowels from REDOCOL made of unsteamed beech. The introduction of water into the dowel holes during production activates the applied adhesive. To distinguish the dowels from classic wooden dowels, they are optionally available in blue or red.
Alternatively, we also have in our range the Lamello P-System. The assembly is easy, as the connectors do not need to be screwed in or glued, but only pushed into the pre-milled groove. The Lamello P‑System guarantees stable connections, without the need of screws or adhesive.
