REDOCOL Greenline - Sustainable Craftsmanship
The classic carpentry trade is inherently sustainable: on the one hand, wood is a renewable material. On the other, the furniture produced here is individual and of particularly high quality and can always be readapted to changing life situations. Also, topics such as “ecology” and “occupational safety” are gaining ground with new products and technologies entering the market. With the brand REDOCOL greenline, we attach importance to ecologically friendly products. In the following, our experts will give you some information on our greenline products.
Clean business! Eco-Compatible Workpiece and Machine Cleaning
Our proven REDOCOL Teclinex One For All is a greenline product for two essential reasons: on the one hand, it is made nearly entirely of plant-based raw materials and is therefore very sustainable. On the other hand, it helps to reduce the number of cleaners in the workshop and thus reduces the amount of dangerous substances and their logistic costs.
Adhesives Are Getting More Ecological as Well...
Free of solvents, low in formaldehyde, less isocyanate... adhesive recipes are getting more and more eco-friendly. Our experts are in continuous exchange with different adhesive manufacturers and can give you professional advice.
Discover REDOCOL Kantol greenline!
For quite some time now, our white glue REDOCOL Kantol greenline poses a solventfree alternative for manual bonding of edgings or workpieces. The product needs no chemical solvents, which improves air quality and is also good for the environment. By eliminating solvent, the health protection of the user is respected.
Formaldehyde is currently widely discussed, since new legal limits to the allowed content in wood-based materials were set. The substance was already classified as carcinogenic by the EU in 2014. It is contained in many different materials. For health reasons, the concentration of formaldehyde in indoor air must be kept as low as possible.
However, the subject of “formaldehyde emissions from adhesives” plays a rather limited role in finished pieces of furniture, where the adhesive has already set. Emissions are mainly relevant during processing of non-hardened PVAc dispersion glue, where improper application can lead to allergies or irritations of the skin, respiratory tract or eyes.
The subject of “isocyanates” comes up every time gluing involves PUR adhesives which are suited for particularly waterand heat-resistant bonds. More and more manufacturers now offer PUR adhesives with very little isocyanates, which thusly reduces the health-endangering isocyanate vapours.
Paper Tape REDOCOL greenline
The product from the sustainable REDOCOL greenline series is specially suited to seal cardboard boxes. It is a reliable, single-origin alternative to classic PVC tape, which does not have to be removed from the cardboard before recycling it.
